DAOI (Digital Artisans of India) is an award that recognises artisans and organisations using digital tools to grow, showcase, and scale their craft.
2. Who can apply?
Traditional artisans across art, handloom, handicrafts, and GI-based crafts, as well as eligible organisations (family enterprises, SHGs, clusters, social enterprises).
3. What are the eligibility criteria?
Applicants must be using digital tools like social media, e-commerce, websites, CRM, email, messaging, or digital literacy initiatives to enhance their work and impact.
4. Is there an application fee?
No! The application is completely free of cost.
5. What do I need to submit?
Fill the nomination form online and submit a 1–5 minute video showcasing your craft, impact, and digital journey.
6. Can organisations apply?
Yes, social enterprises, producer companies, co-operatives, trusts, societies, Section 8 or private companies working with artisans and social purpose can apply.
7. What will the jury consider?
They look at digital adoption, impact, innovation, support to other artisans, and the need for support.
8. How will digital tools be evaluated?
Any use of social media, e-commerce, e-marketing, SEO, websites, CRM, messaging tools, or digital outreach to improve craft and market reach will be considered.
